The Buzz's new "Sparkle & Pop" EP delivers five new garage power pop nuggets. "Surrender" kicks things off in a hard-rockin,' Cheap Trick-esque fashion, while "Girl" melds AM-era Wilco with the chime of classic Big Star. "Happy Hangover" adds a touch of melancholy and mellotron, followed by the Stones swagger and mind-melting guitar solo of "You Got It Bad." "Sparks" ends the EP on a spectacularly catchy note.
